Jesse is an experienced manager who has worked on a range of issues in the civic sector—including community and economic development and government innovation—and brings with him a specialty in affordable housing and real estate development. Most recently, he developed affordable housing in Philadelphia and Cincinnati with Pennrose, a national real estate development firm. Jesse began his career at Bennett Midland, advising mayoral teams on addressing pressing challenges in their cities, supporting strategic planning for nonprofit organizations, and operationalizing national initiatives for large foundations. He supported the implementation of Invest Health, an initiative of Reinvestment Fund and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, to develop new strategies for leveraging private and public investments to accelerate improvements in neighborhoods facing the biggest barriers to better health in 50 cities.
Jesse holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Michigan and a Master’s degree in City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania.
