Ava Esquier

Senior Associate

Ava works with Bloomberg Philanthropies’ COVID Federal Assistance e311 program to help cities access federal funding for relief and recovery efforts. She also supports Everytown for Gun Safety in implementing the Gun Violence Data Fellowship Program, which embeds data analysts in local government to organize and interpret gun violence data for the benefit of city leaders and the public.

She was previously an AmeriCorps VISTA with the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Community Empowerment and Opportunity. Asa research assistant at the University of Pennsylvania Weitzman School of Design, Ava contributed to several studies of the impact of justice system fines and fees, including distinctive effects based on gender. Ava holds a BA in Urban Studies from the University of Pennsylvania.
